I headed over to Thorsminde, on the west coast of Jutland, because I was picking up a new camera near by. There was a rare Grey Phalarope foraging in the harbour basin, and while trying to get close enough for a decent shot of it I came across a few Purple Sandpipers on one of the breakwaters. The decent phalarope shot never materialised, but the sandpipers were great!
All shots are from the EOS 5D mki with the 300mm f4/1.4TC combo. I am absolutely delighted with the low-light performance of this camera, in spite of its advanced age. ISO 800 for all images. Click on an image to browse the gallery.
